During the second day of her visit to Serbia, European Union Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Ilva Johansson visited the border crossing to Bulgaria, where the beginning of the joint work of members of Frontex (the European Agency for Border Control and Coast Guard) and the border police of Serbia was marked. Johansson and the EU Ambassador to Serbia, Sam Fabrizi, arrived to visit the border, where they were met by the Minister of the Interior of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin. On this occasion, the commissioner pointed out that the joint work of Frontex and the Serbian border police is important for preventing international, cross-border and other types of crime, as well as illegal entry.
