Antimicrobial resistance involves bacteria’s resistance to the effects of antibiotics, ranking among the top 10 most alarming threats to human health. This was precisely the theme of the third international veterinary medicine symposium held at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad.
The symposium, titled “Antimicrobial Resistance – Challenge of the Present, Threat to the Future,” conducted in collaboration with the EU Info Point Novi Sad, welcomed students and professors from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb.
The discussions at the symposium covered numerous guidelines related to the rational use of antibiotics in veterinary medicine, as well as the implementation of biosecurity measures on farms.
