The EU Corner was opened at the Youth Center Sombor. The opening was marked by a presentation of European projects and opportunities for studying abroad. Sombor has become the fourth city in Vojvodina where an EU Corner has been opened.
EU Corners are designed to improve connections with the local community through regular programs and the use of common spaces in existing organizations. Each EU Corner is a pleasant gathering place, with a library of European prose and poetry, translated into Serbian with the support of the EU’s Creative Europe program. EU Corners have so far been opened in Pančevo, Novi Sad, and Bečej.
