Antoine Avignon, project manager for the environment in the delegation, visited the Žibel Bačka Topola Agroindustrija factory on March 27. With the support of the Government of Switzerland, and in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and “AIK Žibel Bačka Topola” presented a new, secondary plant for the treatment of waste water generated in the production process of this factory. Thanks to him, the quality of the water released by “AIK – Žibel Bačka Topola” is now in accordance with the values prescribed in the European Union, which will contribute to reducing the pollution of the nearby Krivaja River.
