Circular economy, zero pollution and biodiversity are in the focus of this year’s EU Green Week, taking place from May 30 to June 5. The EU Green Week is celebrated to raise awareness to the most important issues in environment protection. This year almost 300 events are planned all around Europe. During the celebration of the European Green Week in Serbia, a series of events and online activities will present the concrete results of the cooperation between Serbia, the European Union, its Member States and several international partners. The first manifestation was held today in Sremska Mitrovica, when the activities within the Green Week officially began, as well as the waste separation project in households. On that occasion, the officials visited the Regional Center for Waste Management, which was built with EU funds.
