Trans-Balkan Corridor for Stable Electricity Supply

Safety and quality of electricity supply – this is the goal of the new grant agreement of 8.5 million euros for the construction of a 400 kV connection between the electricity transmission systems of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. The agreement was signed today in Belgrade by representatives of the Government of Serbia and the German banking group Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). The new section, 84 km long, is part of the EU-supported Trans-Balkan Electricity Corridor project, which will greatly benefit the citizens of western and central Serbia. For the section of 84 km, the EU provided a grant of 10.76 million euros. The national contribution amounts to 4.5 million euros, and the amount of the KfW loan is 30 million euros.
